Planned route

Print

There is only a rough plan for our route yet. We will plan the details while we are on the road. This way we are able to react and change our plans at any time. Especially about the way in India and Australia we only have a vague idea…this is why there is painted a big ?

Europe
Europe

We will start at our homes in Germany. It will go from Hessia over Stuttgart to Bavaria. This is going to be our fare well tour. Whilst getting used to the life on the road and testing our equipment we will have some accommodations and will say goodbye to our beloved ones. The first border crossing is to Austria and then roughly along the donau-river – Hungary, Serbia, Rumania, Bulgaria and on to Turkey.

The second stage starts in Turkey. We will spend some time there, because Turkey is not only quite big and mountainous but also the interesting gate to the Orient. Afterwards we will drive through northern Iran to Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. From here we will close up to Kirgizia and China – heading to the Himalaya.

Route South East Asia

If weather and altitude admit it, we are planning to ride through the Himalaya right to Lhasa. After recovering from the strains the way goes back to Nepal and down to India. The route in India will be clear until we are there. Because there is no entry to Myanmar on overland route we will have to go around using ship or airplane (unless we are deciding to fly into Myanmar and discover it for some while). Probably the next destination will be Bangkok from where we are going east to Cambodia. Afterwards north to Laos, east to Vietnam, southern China until Taiwan and the Philippines.

Australia
Australia
We will enter australian soil in Perth and basicly go along the southern coastline. We will cross the Nullarbor, go along the Great Ocean Road, make a loop through Tasmania and then probably somehow come to Sydney to catch a plane to New Zealand.

New Zealand
New Zealand
We heard sooo many nice things about the southern Island, that we will start here, make a loop and then pedal the Northisland.
